Pre-compiled Full Promoter Sets

You can download the complete set of human, mouse and rat promoters from PromoSer. The following sets have been extracted from clusters containing at least one mRNA sequence (i.e, EST-only clusters have been excluded). Each promoter contains 2000 bases upstream and 100 bases downstream relative to the 5' most TSS of each cluster.

Three files are provided for each organism:
  1. PromoSer's report, contianing summary information about each promoter, extraction settings as well as the version and genome release.
  2. A FASTA file with all the extracted promoters. Promoters are uniquely identified by a cluster ID.
  3. An annotation table. Typically each PromoSer cluster contains a single gene but there may be many mRNA sequences representing that gene. The longest of these is chosen as the cluster's annotation and its GenBank accession ID and annotation are provided. This is a simple tab delimeted file.
